Update Arma Reforger completely and start the game once to the main menu. Check free space and a stable Internet connection. A large modset can take significantly more time than the actual join process.
If you play multiple community servers, keep in mind that different mod versions or dependencies are loaded. Reforger largely manages workshop content itself, but cancelled downloads or outdated local data can prevent it from joining.
Keep sufficient advance during an event. Ten minutes before the start of the mission is too late to load an extensive modset for the first time.
Finding community servers
Open the multiplayer area and switch to the community servers. Search for the exact name from the FLN server box. Look for similarly named or outdated favorites. Status, number of players and required content may change.
Select the entry and start joining. If workshop content is missing, Reforger shows the required downloads. Only confirm content that belongs to the selected server. An official FLN link always leads through the website or the intended community area.
Workshop-Mods laden
Complete all downloads. Do not restart server joining repeatedly while content is still being processed. Some mods have dependencies that are additionally loaded.
Check with slow progress:
- the download is still running or has it actually stopped,
- there is sufficient storage space,
- if there is a platform or workshop problem,
- the game was launched during an update,
- The modset link is still up to date.
After a larger modupdate, a restart of the game may make sense. As a result, loaded contents are read in again. A restart of the entire system is only necessary if launchers or platform services are obviously hanging.
Mod-Mismatch and download errors
One Mod-Mismatch This means that the server and your client do not have the same usable state. Note the name or ID of the affected mod. Do not immediately delete the entire addon folder.
Step-by-step approach:
- Completely close the game.
- Update platform and reforger.
- Reopen modset on the FLN server page.

If the error persists, secure your relevant settings and remove only the workshop content specifically affected via the intended mod area. Complete deletion of all mods causes long re-downloads and does not solve server errors.
If local data is corrupted, file verification via the platform can help. This controls official game files and does not automatically repair all workshop content.
Before an event
Open servers and modsets before the event day. Check voice, controls and the most important graphics settings. Read the event briefing and clarify whether roles or slots are awarded in advance.
Be in the designated channel a few minutes before the start. The briefing is part of the scenario. Anyone who still solves technical problems during the role distribution misses information about order, radio, respawn and vehicles.
New players briefly mention that they are new. A normal infantry role is the best way to start. Guidance, pilot, special vehicles or other limited roles require additional experience depending on the event.
Map, compass and radio
Reforger requires more self-orientation than many shooters. Use map, compass, streets, contour lines and striking buildings. If you have lost your position, find a clear terrain feature first before giving further directions.
A good radio call is short:
Contact, northwest, tree line, about 150 meters.
For a vehicle, you add type or size if recognizable. Confirm important commands without filling the channel with repetitions. Local conversations remain local; squad- or mission-relevant information belongs in the intended radio channel.

Why can't I find the FLN server in the server browser?
Control search term, filter, platform, game version and the FLN status. A planned or currently maintained server does not have to appear in the browser. Only if the status is inconspicuous, a local error search for filters or network is worthwhile.
What helps with a mod mismatch or download error?
First note the exact error message and the affected mod package. Cleanly restart the game and download and do not remove all workshop data. The page Technical problems shows which information enables a targeted diagnosis.
Do I need a microphone for Arma Reforger?
Voice is not mandatory for free exploration every minute, but very important for events and organized assignments. Short, clear messages about position, contact and task help the squad more than permanent sending without reference to the briefing.
What information does support need in the event of a join problem?
