For the players of Hell Let Loose: Vietnam The next replenishment is ready: Patch 1.3 is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday 28th. August, will be published at 12:00. The update builds on patch 1.2, which has already brought more than 500 bug fixes and improvements. Now the developers are addressing further problems that have been reported particularly frequently from the community since the release.

This is in patch 1.3.
One focus is on the Recon-Markierungen. Some players report that enemies marked by reconnaissance aircraft and luminaires remain visible on the tactical map longer than intended. Patch 1.3 includes initial improvements to this issue. Since the error can not yet be reliably reproduced internally, the developers do not consider it to be completely fixed. Operators of community servers can usually remove persistent markings by restarting the server.
Also the Image quality on consoles will be further revised. Patch 1.2 has already been able to reduce the disturbing flickering of vegetation, but in certain situations, dynamic resolution intervened earlier. Patch 1.3 aims to make the image more stable while regaining some performance. As a result, the technique called Dynamic Resolution Scaling rarely has to lower the render resolution – on average, the image should appear a little sharper. However, the developers emphasize that these are still incremental improvements and not yet the final solution.
Another major package concerns Key assignment and controller control. Around a dozen individual corrections are intended to ensure that changed occupancy is stored more reliably and various inconsistencies disappear during operation. Whether this really covers all special cases will become apparent after the release.
VOIP fix will come with patch 1.4
No longer in time in patch 1.3, it creates the solution for the distorted and robotic sounding voices in proximity chat. Together with the external VOIP partner Epic Games, the team was able to identify a possible troubleshooting. Initial tests were positive, but even larger test runs are necessary before publication. Currently, the fix is targeted for patch 1.4.
At the same time, work continues on general audio quality, directional perception of sounds and sound balance on the battlefield. These adjustments will gradually appear in upcoming updates.
Stability and AMD problems remain in focus
Crashes on systems with AMD graphics cards will continue to be investigated. The developers have identified several individual stability issues that are more common on corresponding hardware, working directly with AMD. There is probably no single fix for all crashes. Those affected can test deactivate the violence – according to the development team, this can reduce the frequency of crashes.
For owners of supported AMD graphics cards there is also an outlook: FSR 4.1 It is currently scheduled for Update 1.5.
AMA with the developers on Friday
In addition to the patch, the first Reddit AMA will be added on Friday. Hell Let Loose: Vietnam instead. Game Director Rushy from Expression Games answers questions from the community together with Community Manager Ben. The questionnaire will be accompanied by a live stream on the official Twitch channel of Hell Let Loose. It starts at 12:00 am British time, i.e. at 13:00 am German summer time.
Patch 1.3 is likely to be a further important step in terms of technology, operation and display. On the other hand, larger topics such as the VOIP fix, long-term graphics optimizations and FSR 4.1 will remain on the agenda for the upcoming updates.
